KDS Property Preservation is a family-run business based in Ipswich, Suffolk. We were founded with a straightforward aim: to give homeowners, landlords, and property professionals across East Anglia access to honest, thorough, and long-lasting solutions for damp, timber decay, and water ingress — without the pressure selling and inflated quotes that give this industry a bad name.

What We Do
We offer a full range of property preservation services, all carried out by our own trained team from our Ipswich base.
Damp Proofing
Rising damp, penetrating damp, salt contamination, and failed damp proof courses are all common in East Anglia's older housing stock. We install cream injection DPCs, apply specialist salt-retardant renders, and carry out written inspections to identify the exact cause — so the right treatment is applied first time.
Timber Treatment
Woodworm infestations, dry rot, and wet rot are treated using appropriate, approved methods. Dry rot demands rapid, decisive action — left unchecked, Serpula lacrymans can cause serious structural damage. We respond quickly and address the problem at its source, not just the visible symptoms.
Basement Waterproofing
We design and install Type A cementitious tanking, Type B waterproof concrete, and Type C cavity drain membrane systems for basements and cellars. The right solution depends on the structure and intended use. We also carry out full basement conversions to bring unused underground space into habitable condition.
Condensation & Mould
We fit positive input ventilation (PIV) units, apply specialist anti-condensation coatings, and carry out professional black mould removal and sterilisation. With Awaab's Law now placing strict obligations on landlords to address damp and mould, we work with housing providers and private landlords to achieve compliance quickly.
Home Insulation
Our insulation services cover suspended timber floor insulation, SuperFOIL loft insulation, thermal plasterboard, slim-profile wall insulation systems such as Aerogel and Iso-Therm, and full spray foam removal for properties where previous spray foam installation is blocking mortgage lending.
Exterior Coatings & Rendering
We protect the outside of your property with long-lasting coloured masonry coatings, clear waterproof sealants, silicone renders, and external wall insulation systems. Roof coatings for flat and low-pitched roofs are also available. All systems are designed for East Anglia's coastal and inland weather conditions.

From our Ipswich base we cover the whole of Suffolk, Norfolk, and Essex. In Suffolk, our teams work regularly across Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Lowestoft, Sudbury, Stowmarket, Newmarket, Felixstowe, Woodbridge, and the surrounding villages. In Norfolk, we cover Norwich, Great Yarmouth, King's Lynn, Thetford, Diss, Fakenham, and the surrounding areas.
