Why does system design consider drainage and future access?
Some basement systems manage water that passes through the structure by collecting it behind a membrane and directing it to a drainage channel or sump. Those components need suitable routes, discharge arrangements and access for inspection or maintenance. Other approaches work differently, so the right design depends on the structure, water conditions and intended room use. These practical constraints should be considered alongside the visible damp patch, not after installation.
