Painting over mould is a temporary cosmetic fix that often makes the problem worse. The mould will simply grow through the new paint, often within weeks.

Mould Sterilisation
Look for a leak or water ingress when mould is concentrated around a pipe, ceiling penetration, window reveal, or a patch that worsens after rain. Those patterns can also have other explanations, so they do not confirm the cause by themselves. If the surface stays damp or mould returns after cleaning, check plumbing and external defects as well as ventilation before arranging further treatment.
